He was about 76 years old and was born in Strasburg, Germany. Before moving to VA he lived in Northampton Co PA. He served 7 years as a private. Pension granted.John Haas

#BL Wt 130-160-55: Service in PA (Bounty land application). Northampton CO PA. Wife Eve Haas 91 years living in Coal Township applied for Bounty land because her husband John Peter Haas was a Rev War soldier. Eve's maiden name was HUMMELS. She and John Peter were married on "the eve of the fall election day Oct 1780". Her husband died 13 Mar 1835. She was allotted 160 acres.Jacob Haas
#R 4404 Service in PA. Ann Haas aged 84 applied for her deceased husbands pension in Philadelphia in 1837. She was Ann ROOP and they married 9 Aug 1778. Another Jacob Haas 66 years 10 months old and nephew of old Jacob gave testimony that he knew him. Pension was denied and no other family info was given.Henry Haas
