This Indenture made this 28 August 1835 one thousand Eight hundred and thirty five, by & between Daniel B. B. Spruill of the first part and Alexander H. Davenport of the second part, both of the County of Washington and State of North Carolina, Witnesseth that I Daniel B.B. Spruill for and in consideration of the sum of thirty three dollars to me in hand paid by Alexander H. Davenport, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied.and paid, Have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain & sell, ?? and confirm unto Alexander H. Davenport, his Heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, one messuage piece or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Washington, Being the ?? ?? that fell to me by the death of my late father Aaron Spruill of the County of Washington N. Carolina, and I the aforesaid Daniel B.B. Spruill do for myself my heirs, executors and assigns warrant & defend forever, unto Alexander H. Davenport the aforesaid messuage piece or parcel of land unto him the said Alexander H. Davenport, and I the said Daniel B.B. Spruill do warrant and forever defend the aforesaid premises unto him the aforesaid Alexander H. Davenport his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever-In Witness whereof I the above Daniel B. B. Spruill have set my hand and seal, dated as above
