Dr. John Pemberton brewed a strange concoction over a fire in his backyard in Atlanta, Georgia. The ingredients included corn syrup and Cocaine. No, Dr. Pemberton was not the first drug dealer. He was brewing up the first batch of something many of us now drink every day. It was the first batch of Coca Cola. By the way, Congress made him take the cocaine out of the original formula in 1904. Dr. Pemberton first advertised Coca Cola as a "brain tonic, intellectual beverage, stomach ache/headache and hangover remedy.
